Technology

Graduates should be able to use various forms of technology in their interactions with students and in their own professional development.

Specifically, students should be able to...

      • Utilize communication tools such as electronic mail, video conferencing, and/or designing web pages
      • Use research tools such as electronic data bases, world wide web searching, and other on-line sources
      • Use multi-media in making presentations before professional audiences

Powerpoint Presentation

As part of my role as the Global Relief Graduate Assistant in the Office of World Missions I was asked to present a proposal for a Collaborative Project Proposal at the Go: Round Table semi-annual conference (coordinated by the Student Volunteer Movement 2 and the Southern California campuses that are part of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities). I created this Powerpoint presentation as a proposal for a collaborative project centered around a three year plan for education, fundraising, and mobilization of Council of Christian Colleges and Universities campuses to collaborate for clean water globally. There were approximately 30 people in attendance.

Webliography

As part of my Legal and Ethical Issues in Student Affairs course I created an Annotated Webliography. The webliography includes a brief description and website addresses for 50 important websites that cover the following areas of the legal side of Student Affairs: Liability and Risk Management, Federal Regulations, The College and the Constitution, Student Discipline and Alcohol Issues on Campus, Personnel and Employment Issues, Legal Issues Related to Students and Employees with Disabilities, Sexual Harassment, Information Technology, Copyright and Intellectual Property, and Crisis Management.

Publisher

I have used publisher to create several documents as informational and/or promotional materials for both my Graduate Assistantship and my position as the College Director at First Baptist Temple City.

I created a flyer for the Surfing Retreat.  The retreat was an event that I designed and implemented while I was serving as the College Director at First Baptist Temple City. The flyer was sent out to all of the high school seniors, college students, and young adults at the church as one of the ways to promote the retreat.

I created a postcard as an educational piece of the 1:6 Initiative (one of the semester-long awareness and fundraising campaigns). This postcard was part of the water bottle display that was placed in the Student Life offices on campus.
