Why are ALL of the North American water bottles clean? The North American Continent is the top consumer of bottled water, yet we are one of the only continents that has accessibility to clean (drinkable) water in our homes. Why is it that we feel the need to purchase water in bottles when we can drink it out of the tap?
Canada controls about 20% of the earth’s fresh water.
North America uses 16% of the world’s clean water resources but only has access to 15%. So where does that 1% come from?
Line 2: Europe

Why are ALL of the European water bottles clean?
Europe uses 10% of the world’s clean water resources but only has access to 6%. So where does that 4% come from?
Line 3: Africa

The African Continent probably struggles the most with the availability and access to clean water. The continent as a whole does not have access to much of the world’s clean water resources. However, there is clean water in Africa that its inhabitants do not have access to because of a lack of resources (money).
Africa uses 5% of the world’s clean water resources but has access to 9%. If the water is there, why can’t they reach it? ($$$$)
40 Billion hours each year are spent collecting water in Sub-Sahara Africa, equal to over 19 million full-time employees.
Line 4: Asia

The Asian Continent does have access to clean water, but those who live in poverty within the continent are more likely to not have access to clean and/or adequate amounts of water.
Asia uses 52% of the world’s clean water resources but only has access to 29%. So where does that 23% come from?
Line 5: South America

The South American continent has a large majority of the world’s clean water resources; however, many of its inhabitants who live in poverty do not have access to clean drinking water.
